Considerations
for Small Business of the Year
1.
Business must be a member in good standing of the Bonita Springs
Area Chamber of Commerce.
2.
Business must have been in business for a minimum of three years.
3.
Business must have less than 100 employees.
4.
Business must show growth in workforce and company sales.
5.
Business needs to demonstrate commitment to the community.
6.
Application must be fully completed and returned by the deadline
date of May 1, 2001.
The
Small Business of the Year Award will be presented at a
Small Business Week Luncheon on Friday, June 8, 2001
Award
Considerations
The following information will be considered when
selecting the Small Business of the Year.
Please provide five (5) copies of your nomination information for
the panel of judges. Answers
should be no more than one typewritten page per answer.
- Please
provide a general description of your business. Include primary responsibilities and a brief history of
the business.
2.
Indicate how your business has overcome challenges in the past
year. Include areas such as financial, employee, growth/expansion
issues.
3.
Outline how your business has grown over the past year.
Use company revenues and staff as indicators for the growth.
4.
List what other organizations your business involved in throughout
the Bonita Springs Community. Please provide dates and describe your involvement with the
organization.
5.
Provide any additional comments as
to why your business should be chosen as “Small Business of the Year”
for Bonita Springs.
Judging Criteria
A panel of judges
will independently score each of the nominations based on their written
application. At least two of
the judges will be from outside of Bonita Springs.
Personal interviews will then be set up with the top 3-5 ranked
businesses. The winner will
be kept confidential until announced at the special awards luncheon in
June. All nominees will be recognized at the luncheon.
