Business Card Exchange
The monthly
Business Card Exchange provides a networking opportunity in a social atmosphere. Card Exchanges are held at the sponsoring business site. This function allows for networking on a one-to-one basis.

Tips for Attending a Business Card Exchange

1. Set a goal for the number of new business cards you will have at the end of the event. Write your name and the name of your company on a name badge and wear it!

2. Quickly acknowledge your friends and acquaintances, then set off after those you don't know.

3. Start a conversation with a question "What does XYZ Company do?" or "Where are you located?"

4. Rehearse a quick 30-second description of your business.

5. Don't try to do business, instead get leads to follow-up during the month.

6. Keep your business cards handy and loose in your pocket.

7. Use time in food or beverage lines to talk to people. Don't count on getting situated before starting to engage people.

8. Get others in your company to go with you, so you can achieve maximum coverage of the room.

9. Bring a non-member guest and introduce him or her to others. Your guest will appreciate the opportunity to network.
