Certificates of Origin Program

Certain countries require a signed statement certifying the origin of the exported goods. In the United States, certificates are usually signed by a recognized chamber of commerce. The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce offers three services to area companies for their Certificate of Origin needs:

CERTIFICATE of ORIGIN DOCUMENTS (Courtesy of Export Forms Company of Tullahoma, TN) - The Nashville Chamber keeps a small quantity of forms in stock for local companies to complete documentation needs for shipping their product overseas. Documents include:

• Certificate of Origin information available from the Nashville Chamber of Commerce

• NAFTA Certificate of Origin

• Bills of Lading

INDIVIDUAL DOCUMENT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM - For those companies needing to have documents certified a few times a year, the Nashville Chamber certifies documents at its information services division office 161 Fourth Avenue North, Downtown Nashville. Cost is $5 per page certified. Hours of Operation are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday, except holidays.

SELF CERTIFICATION PROGRAM - For those companies with a larger volume of certification requirements, the Nashville Chamber leases its certification seals on an annual basis to companies. Cost is $250 for members (annually) and $500 for non-members (annually).
