Chamber Checks!

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a new program, “Chamber Checks.” Chamber Checks is a program which encourages the sale of goods and services in the Hunt County area and are redeemable at a variety of Chamber-member business locations.

Your company can spend the same amount of money you normally spend for holiday gifts or bonuses for your employees, but instead of an item that may or may not be used, or a gift certificate to only one business, employees can choose for themselves from nearly 600 chamber member businesses where the Chamber Checks can be redeemed. A $10 minimum purchase is required with each check.

What would you do if you received a check and was told you could use it for restaurants, hotels, the theater, concerts, golf courses, hospitals, school tuition, retail stores, antique shops and grocery stores – just to name a few?  That is exactly what you can do with Chamber Checks! Chamber Checks may be used for products and services. You have finally found the perfect gift!

Chamber Checks is an extension of our recent Thank You Drive where we asked for your feedback on what you would like to see the Chamber do.  Member said, we want to see our Chamber encouraging area citizens and employees of local companies to support our local economy.  Chamber Checks is a solid mechanism to support our local businesses.  To date, over $4,000 in Chamber Checks have been issued to area employers to be distributed for the holidays.  We hope you see them in your cash drawers!

Chamber Checks are just that-checks-not gift certificates or vouchers. Customers can get cash back if the full value of the check is not used and merchants can directly deposit the checks in the bank-instant cash, no waiting.  Chamber Checks may be purchased by anyone. Think of the possibilities!!

Chamber Checks are Easy to Buy and Easy to Use!  You decide the amount for each check, multiply that amount by the number of employees you wish to reward, fill out an order form and bring it to the Chamber together with a check. 

The chamber will provide the individual checks and a letter that can be copies onto your company’s letterhead, explaining how the program works and where the Chamber Individuals can use their checks at any participating Chamber member business. Chamber Checks are to be treated just like regular checks.
