Christmas Parade DVD Available

Send a part of Christmas in Decorah to a special service man and woman who will not be home for the holidays this year.  The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce will have available “Christmas Parade” DVD’s.  The DVD’s will feature the 10th Annual Christmas Parade along with special messages from friends, family, and supporters of these brave men and women.  The Christmas Parade is scheduled for Friday, December 5th at 6 pm and features bright lights, festive floats and a visit from Santa.  

 The DVD will also include the Decorah Chorale leading the community in songs of the season.  Members of the chorale will be located in front of Community First National Bank starting at 5:30 pm and singing until the parade starts at 6 pm.  Regardless of your singing abilities, come be a part of this magical, musical event.   

Before and after the parade, personnel will be on hand at the Chamber office to record your personal message for your special someone.  Reservations are required, so please call the Chamber office early to schedule your time.  Those wishing to record a message are asked to have the message prepared in advance.  Not sure what you want to do or say in your message, try singing a holiday song, telling a family story, bring along a special Christmas prop or a simple “Merry Christmas, we miss you” greeting are a few suggestions.  To reserve your time, call 563-382-3990.
