The South Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce has combined their 2nd
Annual Chili Cookoff with the Cinco de Mayo celebration this year. To
be held at noon at Arrowhead Yacht Club on the 3rd of May, the event
is open to the public for attendance and the option to enter their
favorite Chili recipe.
Music, food, drinks and loads of fun are on the agenda for the day.
You can reach the event by land or water, with courtesy docks provided
compliments of Arrowhead Yacht Club.
Tickets will be going on sale at the beginning of April. The cost to
taste all of the entries is $4.00 in advance or $5.00 the day of the
Cookoff. A portion of the proceeds will be going to the Ketchum Public
Schools to help offset the reduction in funds due to the state budget
deficit.
The Chamber Chili Cookoff Committee is now taking applications to cook
at the event. A twenty-five dollar entry fee will put you right there
with the likes of First State Bank of Ketchum, Integris Grove General
Hospital and Howard Classic Boats, last year's winner, in serving up
your favorite chili recipe.
