Circus Vargas agrees to pay the Duarte Chamber of
Commerce 10-percent of all ticket sales (gross) for the three-day stay in
Duarte on May 11, 12, and 13, 1993.
In return, the Duarte Chamber of Commerce agrees to
provide the following services to Circus Vargas:
The Chamber will make arrangements with the City of
Duarte for the use of city property for the Circus location. Circus
Vargas will pay for all required licenses, permits and fees.
Circus Vargas will have use of the Chamber office and
telephones, 3 to 4 weeks prior, if needed, and during the duration of
the Circus.
Circus Vargas may advertise the address and phone
number of the Chamber on Circus literature for the public to buy tickets
and obtain information about the Circus.
Circus Vargas may use the Duarte Chamber of Commerce
name as a sponsor.
Chamber staff will help in the sale of tickets and
informational phone calls.
The Chamber will give Circus Vargas a complimentary
full-page ad in the Cinco de Mayo Tabloid which has a distribution of
about 9,000 to residences and businesses in Duarte (members and
potential members), Bradbury, and Chamber members located outside of
Duarte. This will be mailed during the week of April 19-23, 1993.
Duarte's second annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is Saturday, May 1, 1993.
6500 Flyer's, supplied by Circus Vargas, will be
distributed to all Duarte Unified School District students.
