The
exercises and questions are just food for thought. - CEO
Last week’s questions about website
Last week’s exercise had more comments than
I have received in a long time on one subject. Most of the
people that wrote said I didn’t go far enough about credit cards
and the use of Pay Pal.
The jest of the
comments was Chamber’s have to have credit cards through Pay Pal
on every project, especially sponsorships, not just
paying your dues online.
There was more than one comment on:
·
Golf Tournaments: Pay with credit cards through Pay Pal
for
golf tournaments, not only increases the players but also no big
rush at the end.
·
Business
after Hours: A rise in attendance because they could pay online
ahead of time. They showed up to protect their $5.
·
General
Membership lunches: The same is true. It increases attendance.
Once people have paid online, they are more likely to show up.
Increased Financial Commitment
One Chamber told me that response of
sponsorships for projects was good, but after establishing
online payments, the rise in sponsorships was dramatic. The year
after establishing credit card through Pay Pal payments online,
sponsorships increased more than $20,000 above budget
projections.
If there is a price tag on anything a
Chamber does, it should have an online credit card through Pay
Pal, payment plan.
